About the event
The Friends of Island Lake Recreation Area will be hosting another season of lantern-lit hikes along part of the Hickory Ridge hiking trail, beginning in the first parking lot of the Kent Lake unit. Hike as you follow the lanterns for a 1.5 mile loop.
Please, do NOT bring your own headlamps or other lights to this hike. Let the lanterns and the moon provide the light to guide your way.
You do NOT need to register for this self-guided hike. You may hike anytime from 6pm-9pm. Lanterns will be taken down at 9PM.
Dogs are permited at this event but need to be leashed at all times according to park rules.
A recreation passport is required for entry into the park.
